The Big Blue Test is a program of the Diabetes Hands Foundation (http://www.diabeteshandsfoundation.org). Between October 15th and November 14th, 2013 do the #BigBlueTest.

Each 10 entries = Diabetes Hands Foundation grants $5 to groups helping people with diabetes in need.

Join American Idol’s Elliott Yamin, Amazing Race’s Nat Strand and many others who live with diabetes every day to reach 20,000 Big Blue Test entries this year.

Over 40,000 people have done the Big Blue Test since 2010. When you participate in the Big Blue Test not only do you experience a 20% average drop in blood sugar, but a donation is made to help others around the world with diabetes in need.

The Big Blue Test encourages people with diabetes to test their blood sugar, exercise for 14-20 minutes, test again and share their experience on BigBlueTest.org. For every test, people with diabetes in need receive life-saving supplies through Big Blue Test grants that are awarded to humanitarian diabetes charities in the US and around the world, made possible thanks to the program sponsors.

To make the camp possible, Aprendiendo a Vivir collaborates with Ayuda, Inc., a U.S. based organization that works with youth to develop them into counselors that can help communities of people with diabetes worldwide. Ayuda, Inc. was a Big Blue Test grantee and received a $25,000 grant in 2012 to support their work in the Dominican Republic and Ecuador. In 2013, they are a grantee again.
