Ronen worked hard all his life and then he one day realized that he has been working hard all his life and it is time for a change, so he decided to work even harder… his wife says that his mid-life search for meaning led him to embark on a new journey. His personal life experience combined with a wish to simply make a difference paved the way to the foundation of Medivizor.
From the professional aspects, Ronen is a leader with 20 years of software business experience in developing leading-edge enterprise software products in large corporations and co-founding startup initiatives. He held leadership roles in research and development, product management, marketing, and operations.
Before joining Medivizor, Ronen established and held the position of VP Portfolio Management at Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN). Prior to that, Ronen held leadership roles within Amdocs (NYSE: DOX).
Ronen is known for his passionate inspiration and execution style, innovative spirit, and endless energy.

TuDiabetes Live interview with Dr. Anuj Bhargava, MD, Founder and CEO of My Diabetes Home

Dr. Anuj Bhargava is a practicing endocrinologist at the Iowa Diabetes and Endocrinology Center in Des Moines, IA. He is also the founder of My Diabetes Home®, LLC (MDH) and MedSimple™ medication management platform. Since 1994, Dr. Bhargava has strived to improve diabetes care and treatment. He received his Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at University of Wisconsin, obtained a physician executive MBA from the University of Tennessee, and became a Certified Diabetes Educator. He is an adjunct associate professor at Drake University, University of Iowa, and Des Moines University. He is also the founder and President of the Iowa Diabetes and Endocrinology Research Center (IDERC), the largest diabetes research center in central Iowa. Dr. Bhargava believes that technology can simplify diabetes and is hopeful that the My Diabetes Home platform will make that happen for the millions of people who are affected by diabetes and other chronic diseases.

Live interview with Lisa Hepner, documentary director/producer

For the past 18 years Lisa Hepner, Canadian-born journalist, has produced films and programs for Sony Pictures Classics, HBO, A&E, PBS, Lifetime, Discovery, MTV, TLC and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. In 2003, Lisa directed Peace by Peace: Women on the Frontlines that marked her documentary feature directorial debut. Shot internationally, this documentary profiles the unheralded work of women peace builders. Lisa has lived with Type 1 diabetes for 22 years. Live Interview: Diabetic Eye Disease, with Dr. Sunil Patel

Sunil S. Patel, MD PhD is a board certified vitreoretinal surgeon at the West Texas Retina Consultants in Abilene. Dr. Patel attended the University of California, Los Angeles for his undergraduate education, where he studied biochemistry, and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. Upon completing an internship in internal medicine at the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, Dr. Patel completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Doheny Eye Institute-Los Angeles County Hospital at the University of Southern California. He remained at the Doheny Eye Institute for two additional years to complete a surgical and medical vitreoretinal fellowship as well as a Uveitis fellowship. Dr. Patel was a Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Texas Retina Associates until 2000, when he joined West Texas Retina Consultants as a Staff Vitreoretinal Surgeon. He also serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Texas Tech University School of Medicine.

Dr. Patel received his PhD in Immunology from the University of Texas Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences as part of the Medical Scientist Training Program. He is the President of Integrated Clinical Research, a center which conducts medical device and pharmaceutical research focused on retina and vitreous conditions.

Dr. Patel’s clinical practice focuses on the medical and surgical treatment of diseases involving vision, specifically the retina and vitreous. He is actively involved in the development of new therapeutic modalities for vitreoretinal diseases including age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema. Dr. Patel is a frequent lecturer and presenter at scientific conferences and meetings and has conducted over 50 clinical research studies and authored more than 30 manuscripts.
